Robert (Bob) Schwabik, LSSBB with over 10 years at VPMEP, is the new Technology Translation and Intellectual Property (IP) Project Manager based at Virginia Tech. This is a new area for the MEP Program, assisting Virginia’s small manufacturers in understanding and protecting their Intellectual Property as well as being a resource for interfacing with Tech’s vast inventory of technology, and intellectual property. Bob will be a conduit for small manufacturers that would like to utilize Tech as their "R&D" department. 

Bob has over 38 years total industrial experience. Prior to VPMEP, Bob was an independent consultant with his own firm, ANBO Associates. His previous experience includes project management at UTC/Pratt & Whitney, VP of Operations at National Welding and Mfg., as well as both Corporate Planning and Development and Plant Management experience at BOC/AIRCO Inc., Bob has a BS in Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University, Graduate coursework at the University of New Haven and Fairleigh Dickison University, and is RAB Lead Auditor Trained in ISO 14000 and ISO 9000.
