Mark Mekanik is a project manager based in the Lynchburg VPMEP office. For more than 25 years he has worked in the manufacturing sector for privately owned small to mid-size companies, as well as large, publicly owned corporations. He has held virtually all corporate management positions throughout his career. He has previously worked for JTEKT Automotive of Virginia, Nextel Communications, Ericsson and Crown Simplimatic, Incorporated. He offers consulting services to manufacturers in the areas of lean manufacturing, kaizen implementation and assessments, supply chain management, and Kanban technology. Mark holds a Bachelor's Degree from Lynchburg College, and has previously taught in the Virginia high school system.
