Jeff Kohler is VPMEP's executive director. He formerly held the position of president for a small furniture manufacturer. Prior to that he was general manager of the wood systems office furniture business unit of Kimball International, where he planned and implemented a large plant expansion and instituted a total quality system complete with ISO 9001 registration. He also gained significant leadership experience at Knoll International in various areas of furniture manufacturing. There he integrated all North American and European seating operations into one world-class facility. He championed both self-directed work teams and statistical process control at Knoll. Areas of consulting capabilities include transformation management, strategic planning, organizational structuring, executive coaching, as well as professional business advisor training by NIST MEP. Jeff earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with an emphasis on manufacturing from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis on operations from Harvard University.
